*If you were asked to create a new methodology for English teaching, What could be some of its principles?
1. Include games and songs in my teaching, not in a repeating way because it could be conductivism).
2.Prepare a lesson plan using a proyect method.
3.Use different materials in a visual, hear, real and concret way.
4.Ensure students participle actively.
5.Try that the students experiment, investigate, discover, analize, reflect and solve problems by their own conviction.
6.The role of teachers should be mediator, moderated, cordinator.
7.Emotional climate, harmonious and mutual.
8.Ensure that students interact through team work and exchanging information.
9.The teacher must know the family, community and educational context of every student.
10.Encourage students to interact with the object of knowledge.

*Include at least five principles. Use the information of the methods you have studied and don´t forget the theories of learning.
1.Play is an important and necessary experience for students (Jean Piaget)
2.Learning is depending of the environment of students (Vigotsky)
3.Important and relevant to know the level of needs of every student (Abraham Maslow)
4.Beeing accourding with the multiple intelligences of every child. (Howard Gardner)
5.Don´t forget the previous knowledge.(David Ausbel).
6.Try to understand the student´s context.

I agree with all my classmates. We are thinking the same:
Education is relevant in the live.

If you were asked to create a new methodology for English Teacher, what could be some of its principles
Include at least 5 principles use the information of the methods you have studied and don´t forget the theories of learning

First of all, I have to check the knowledge of the students and their ages.
If the students are in lower levels, like we are having in Primary, my new methodology will be a combination of a PPP and the Communicative Language Teaching

Some of its principles of a new methodology will be:
1.- Teacher present the context and situation for the language to give the idea what they are going to learn (This theory will be from Piaget Knowledge is internalized by learners through processes of accommodation and assimilation)
2.- Teacher involves function as inviting, agreeing and disagreeing according to the topic ( Ausebel Students use previous knowledge to share with their partners)
3.- Teacher involves some drilling (controlled practice) to give students confidence how they have to talk (Carl Rogers 2 types of learning: Cognitive (meaningless) and experiential (significant)
4.- Students talk more freely about themselves or other people in the real world (production stage) (Gardner Multlple intelligences)
5.- Students should learn to perform language functions using a variety of language when talking and writing,
(formal, informal, tentative, technical etc) (Gardner Multiple Intelligences.) Smile

As my other partner of my class, I agree with her, because all of us want to change and improve the way we are teaching, so we are trying to do our best. Very Happy

First, its important to keep in mind nowadays children are quite different than they used to be. If we want to succeed in our classes we have to create the correct environment where students feel secure, confident and respected. Then we have to prepare our classes including games, songs and team work with activities where students can create and develop their skills and imagination.



INCLUDE AT LEAST FIVE PRINCIPLES. USE THE INFORMATION OF THE METHODS YOU HAVE STUDIED AND DON´T FORGET THE THEORIES OF LEARNING.

1. Play is an important and necessary experience for students (Jean Piaget)
2. Students should learn with dynamic clases and activities which include the development of Multiple Intelligences.
3. We can use the audio-lingual method which can be the basis for developing more complex ideas.
4. If we want students can talk since the begining and they feel motivated we can use PPP Method (Presentation, Practice, Production) Method.
5. We have to observe the students and to consider their age, their particular learning styles and the environment where they live to adapt our classes according to their particular needs.

In my opinion each teacher has his own methodology to teach, but we have to prepare us depending of:
1. The context of the children. We know we can`t resolve the world of our students but according to their problems the teachers could earn their confidence, in this way we will have more attention from them because the will know we care about them.
2. What primary students need is also play, so teachers will play some games to they learn without they even know. It will be easier to the teachers get students attention.
3. It`s proved that if students has the necessity to speak or listen another language they will learn it, so in my opinion I think that if teacher only speaks English they will speak too.
4. Teachers should have a classroom management also, so students will respect rules in the classroom and it will make a good environment.
5. Finally, teachers has to be prepared in every single class, if they don`t have a class plan, the class won`t be occupied and the class won`t be under control.

My classmates` proposals are very interesting, and I think that we are working together to our student have a better preparation for the real life. I think English is very important not only in our school or country it is now a necessity in the world.

THE MAIN PRINCIPLES ARE RELATED WITH THE ENVIRONMENT, WHERE YOU CAN BREATHE HAPPINESS, RESPECT, FREEDOM, PEACE, A GOOD ATTITUDE YOURS AND OF THE SS.

I LIKE VERY MUCH THE METHODOLOGY WHERE YOU CAN IMAGINE THE SITUATIONS WHERE YOU PARTICIPATE, THIS IS RELATED WITH VIGOTSKY, BECAUSE HE SAID INTERACTION IS A VERY IMPORTANT PART TO UNDERSTAND THE LANGUAGE, EVEN OUR LANGUAGE: THE SPANISH. BECAUSE IF THERE ARE NO PRINCIPLES SOMETIMES YOU DON`T HAVE INTEREST ON PARTICIPATE.

THEN WHEN YOU KNOW YOUR TEACHER RESPECTS YOU AND HE OR SHE IS INTERESTING ON WHAT HAPPEN WITH YOU AND YOUR LIFE, THEN YOU CAN SPEAK ABOUT ALMOST EVERYTHING.

1. It is quite important to establish some rules in order to have an harmonious environment in the classroom, since in that way children will want to partcipate without any fear.
2. Through a motivitation, we have to create them the necessity or the interest to learn about something.
3. Have different and attractive activities in order to introduce a topic; could be through games, work in pairs or in groups of 3,4...
4. Do some exercises in order to reinforce the topic.
5. Finally make a little evaluation in order to know what children have known. In this point, the evaluation could be without any grade, only to a kind of exploration exam.

I believe that the behaviorist method is necessary to ask certain rules in the classroom control, but should be given freedom to the students so that they build their own knowledge based on previous knowledge acquired and mixed.
1. The game as a first choice for learning
2. The facility to have a variety of materials in the
classroom and outside of it.
3. Promote the continuing student involvement in
of all skills.
4. Promoting education in external locations such as forests,
farms, industries, laboratories, etc, for students
have an interaction with their environment and places
where they grow or develop. Smile
5. The topics that will be seen, relate to other
subjects at the time explaining to accent the student learning.

Include at least five principles. Use the information of the Studies and Methods You Have Do not Forget the Theories of learning.

Cognitive Development (Jean Piaget) Knowledge is internalized by learners-through Process of Assimilation and accommodation.
Social Learning (Seminovish Lev Vygotsky) Young Children Develop Their Abilities by interacting with Other Children, adults and physical world.
Humanism (Carl Rogers) Essential Conditions for a Therapeutic Relationship:
- Genuineness (to be real)
- Acceptance (Respect and tolerance)
- Understanding (empathy).
Needs Hierarchy (Abraham Maslow) People experience high points in life When the individual is in harmony Himself and historical surroundings.
Multiple Intelligence (Haward Gardner) - Interpersonal Intelligence - is Concerned with the Capacity to Understand the intentions, Motivations and Desires of Other People. It Allows people to work Effectively with Others.

Read at least two Proposals from your classmates and Give your opinion no Later Than Saturday.

Betty gave a very complete explanation of what might be new methods, but my opinion would be a repetition of what already exists, I think we agree on the same in its different variations, only that we emphasize more on what you personally give more interest.

As a teachers we must to organize the materials that we need in the classes, create dynamic activities, stablish times for the activities in order to avoid a mess. Basketball
Deals with how things are done. It has to do with procedures, routines, classroom structure.

1.- Be a mentor not a friend and earn the children's trust by being firm, fair and consistent. Smile, but demand order. Laughing
2.-Show your Ss that you care about them. Children will feel more confident and interested in the class.
3.-Get closer to your Ss.
4.-Praise and encourage good behavior and work.
5.-Make your teaching style interesting and varied. Wink
6.-Speak english all the time. affraid
7.-Give clear short instructions. confused
8.-Stablish rules since the beginning.

Methods, Procedures and Techniques are very important for us as a teachers.
Drilling is still considered as a useful technique to use in the classroom, especially with low level Ss.
PPP it is very learning-based and takes little account of Ss acquisition abilities.
CLT if Ss get enough exposure to language and have many opportunities for language use, ad if they are motivated, then language learning will take care of itself.
TBL allows teachers and Ss to concentrate on howto achieve things with language and how to use language for certain tasks.
Production is the starting point the procedure.
TEACHER IS A FACILITATOR WHO GUIDES SS TO DEVELOP CONFIDENCE ON THEIR OWN LAERNING POWERS.

With respect to the theories:
Using conditioning effectively, we can find children completing homework to earn a reward from the teacher. (Pavlov).
If we want to Ss to develop their creativity and problem solving skills we can apply the theory Discovery Learning, Jerome Brunner.

First of all for giving an English class according to constructivism, we as a teacher have to be the model o guide for they can involve in foreign language. We can improve the English with many activities in which the ss can produce what is obtained. Before all this we must be aware about the previous knowledge.

I think it would make a general assessment of children added to a survey social, cultural and even economic environment in which children develop, after preparing my "lesson plan", using a variety of materials according to their characteristics and interests, such as audio-visual material, games, songs, etc. Make sure the environment is pleasant for children to feel confident to participate and enjoy the class where the teacher has to be a good mediator specifying the rules in the classroom.

The use of play materials is very important, because when they play they can learn in the most pleasant and permanent. environment within the room should be as pleasant as possible, besides the teacher should show students interested in maintaining a friendly relationship and trust.

 Teachers must be part of the learners, teacher has to act as a student (not like a partner) doing or making all activities which have been planned.
 Students will always work in pair or teams even if activities are about personal opinions so that they can be enriched by others.
 Activities are planned according with students’ age and mother culture matching resemblances between the mother and the new culture.
 In order to students can understand a sentence they must not use grammar they have to make their own concept by drawing or making a small project about the main idea then they have to share their jobs so that they contrast their classmates notion.
 Students must fulfill the main concept every lesson whether it was vocabulary or sentences class is not over till students pinpointed the topic.
 Recreation is seen as a part of the lesson no matter if students are children or adults anyhow games have to agree with age.
 Class runs on students that it why assessment is always reached at the same time as the class is running students are always evaluating themselves.
 Although teacher works as a monitor organizing the cloud of concepts emerging from students he is not an inert personage but a guide leading the knowledge by cheering pupils to achieve their goals
 Every single material built in class is a summary of this method so at the end it will be a personal encyclopedia.

I agree with Paty, teachers must know the ages an the level where students are in.
in fact I agree with the majority games are very important

1. Physical surrounding and atmosphere in classroom are the vital factors to make sure that students feel confortable and confident
2. The target language is the only language to be used in the classroom
3. Take occasional grammar quizzes, or prepare at home using non-communicative drills for instance.
4. Free communication production.
5. Grammar and translation should be avoided.

My opinion

I agree with them that children need to feel safe and happy. They need innovates activities and always make sure their production is what we expect.

Play is an important and necessary part of the student's cognitive development. Acquiring social meaning of important symbol systems and learning how to utilize them is impossible without social interaction with other more knowledgeable people. It is important to take into account the background and culture of the learner throughout the learning process, as this background also helps to shape the knowledge and thru that the learner creates, discovers and attains in the learning process.
Two types of learning are distinguished cognitive and experimental. People experience high points in life when the individual is inharmony with himself and his surroundings. Take into account all the multiple inteligences.
I would create a methodology with this principles and teacher would involve learners in figuring out the rules and priciples themselves, they would be functioning inductivily. I am biased towards inductive learning, because i believe it forces learners to process the language deeply, which ultimately leads to more affective learning.

[María I.]IF YOU WERE ASKED TO CREATE A NEW METHODOLOGY FOR ENGLISH TEACHING, WHAT COULD BE SOME OF ITS PRINCIPLES?
A. The first point is to know students, the characteristcs' group and their context (age,behavior interest, intelligence needs,view points, aptitudes,tastes, competences etc., etc.)
B. Establish a good raport with the class (here begins the first vaccine against boredom, disinterest, laziness the best remedy is Enthusiasm!)
C. According to the "A" point To adapt and planning interesting and funy activities (I have already done my Lesson Plan, because this is flexible, I can make some changes) setting smart and real goals with a high reachable performance.
D. Create a proper "English Enviroment" having and creating different material to each activity (you must to know your material and "squeeze" it), to have cardboard on the wall about basic forms of English Language Could be ways of questions, sounds, Abc's numbers, etc.,etc.,) tape recording, reading recording,short TV. programs, English programs computer games to each topic (you must to know how works, and how you can work technology to develop the student's skills)and don't forget students are having a process of learning, so that they will use their mother tongue, but you can give the instruction in English and ask them if they understood, if they don't explain in L1 what do yu want and try to lead them to get it in English giving them confidence and encourage the group or individually if is the case,lead them step by step don't push them!
D. Each class must to be different, also accommodate the classroom on a different way and they will notice it.
E. Change the greeting way and encourage, motivate, smile them and be kind and educated and respectful since the beginning of the class to the end of this. since the beginning of the course to the end of it.
F. Shoud be a mixture of the Theories of learning in the acquisition of the English language'.

1. Take in comsideration age of the ss.
2. Prepare a lesson plan taking in consideration teaching techniques and the Mytechnology we have now!.
3. Give ss songs, games according to te lesson or topic, and flashcards.
4. Also take in consideration the multiple intelligences, so all kind of ss will enjoy learning.
5. Be careful that all the exercises are not repeated or boring.

I agree with my classmates we have to give good active and creative classes. To make a change in the way we were thaught when we take our English lessons. We are in a changing world full os information an we have to take advantage too of technology...

I think a new methodology for English teaching should include a mixture of the principles using on the known methods:

1. Students should be viewed as active thinkers who are able to construct theories about the world.
2. Teachers should seek the students´points of view in onder to understand their styles of learning to respond to their learning needs and interests.
3. Students must work in groups.
4. Activities should rely on different sources (books, pictures, websites)
5. Use of meaningful exercises and meaningul use of the language.
6. Use of rules in the classroom since the very beginning.
7. Teacher presents the context and situation for the language, then students practice making different sentences using a new item, may involve drilling, and then students talk more freely about themselves or other people in the real world.
8. Students perform real life tasks.
9. Take communicative activities as really important ones.
10. Include games and a variety of activities.
11. Create a comfortable, interesting, happy and respectful environment in the classroom.

I´m agree with almost of my classmates, most of them talk about playing as a very important thing to take into account and also to know more about our students needs, interests, ages and background.

If I had to do my own teaching
On first place I would like to have more time because as you know we only have 3 hours per week, and I feel that this time it isn’t enough, remember we only practice English in this time and we need practice more.
I would like too a real system where everybody would be actually interested in learning the language, because right now people is always busy and they argue don’t have time to study or do a homework , so I tried to find the tools to fall in love those people who wants to learn.
I now that in this time there are many ways to learn the language but people sometimes quit because they don’t have the ability or the enough motivation to go ahead.
1. Play, this is really important and necessary, because with the games students enjoy and learn easily.
2. Maybe I will be involved through a psychologist with the children’s environment to know more about their environment in order to improve their learning.
3. I will take care about the level they have to assure they begin with the correct level they want, need and enjoy.
4. I tried to be better day by day involving, practicing, and focus all my attention to the different intelligences in order to have a variety of activities according to the students.
5. I think too the reading and listening are so important, so I provide the Ss more magazines, Cds. And movies, because I think the reading and listening are basic in the English learning.

If you were asked to create a new methodology for english teaching What could be the some of these principles?

In my own new methodology I included:
1- different activities in each class as songs,games, contest,etc all of these with the purpose students have a better understanding of each topic.
2-a variety of different didactic resources are very important.
3-Teacher must know every student for identify their necessities.
4-Encoragestudents to participate actively during each class.
5-Prepare an efective lesson plan in order to use a method.
6-Ensure students interact each other in a team work group.
7-The teacher´s role is a mediator and coordinator.
8-A good environment is very important for students.
9-play is necessary for the children.
10-Take in count the multiple intelligences of every child.
The learning process depends in all the characteristics of each child has.

I am agree with bolillo and bety both of them have good ideas about learning process in order to improve my own teaching method.

-Apply MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE in order that each S can develop their abilities.
-Take hand of New Technology for teaching.
-Use a lot of games, songs and enjoyable activities for children.
-Move the class to different areas so SS can have movement.
-Make a relaxing enviorement.
-Set rules since the beggining.
-Play and share the activities with the children.

In the past was some ways to teach boring, mechanical and useless that makes dificult to learn a new language but in the past not all was bad if we consider the Theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI) work alone could be good because you are working with interpersonal intteligence but we must mix with work in teams because the learning process is a social interaction like Vigostsky said.

1. I make a first evaluation because some Ss are in 6 th grade they don't know basic vocabulary and the process would be difficult and complicated because if you don't have certain basis you lost easily and I try to identify their learning styles to search material attractive for them.

2. I use their mother tongue in few situations because it's almost impossible that they don't want to use and I have a big advantage because everybody can understand and I teach dificult topics and they would understand.

3. One importat thing it will be to teach to learn mind maps (drawings, arrows, colors, different types of letters), songs (for themselves to practice pronunciation, identify unknown words, infer through context) no like home homework for tahmselves. Human beings learn all our life like humanism refer and use NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming).
4. try to make a fun environment because you learn easily and you will wish the time to learn English like in the theory of second Language adquisition refer with anxiety your opportunity to learn decrease dramatically.
5. Practice all the time. Use PPP using the language in its context (simulate a conversation in a stadium, airport, museum, restaurant), making essays using Communicative Language teaching and practicing all the time Watching cartoons (Ben Ten), listening popular songs (Black eyed peas "The time"), etc.

My classmates opinions complement my propousal of method like Bety She mentioned that Ss should exchange information, investigate and use construictivism. Paty said that it wiil be useful to use drills and they have to talk about their own lifes and Virginia emphasize to create a good self-esteem.

First of all, I would meet all my ss in order to know their needs, previous knowledge, abilities and behavior. then I could do a lesson plan to organize and have a plan according to their age. I would do a specific class for each learning that I want to teach, including songs, manual activities, catch their attention and participation with good realia and of course, have a good mood and a facilitator attitude always to ensure the learning. I would let my ss experiment, analize and interact with all the things that I present to them in order to reinforce meaning that will become knowledge because they will link experience to meaning.

1. As Maslow said, we must meet the basic every ss needs and abilities because every personas want to reach a level of "self-actualization".

3. As Piaget said, learners incorporate new experience into an already and existing framework. Knowledge is internalized by the process of accomodation and assimilation.

4. As Vigotsky said, Learning is related to their environment on class and life. Ss will develop their thinking abilities interacting with other children, adults and the physical world.

5. As Brunner said, learning takes place on solving situations, where ss related (link) past experiences with existing knowledge to discover facts and the relation between them to learned a new one.

6. As Rogers said, life is an endless process of creatively moving forward.
