WHY SHOULD MEXICAN KIDS LEARN ENGLISH?
I believe childhood is the best stage of the learning, children learn much vocabulary repeating everything you say, we can note they can understand and duplicate gestures and movements to show comprehension so I think this will be an excellent moment to learn English, then is our opportunity and pay attention and give them all the necessary tools.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN OBSTACLES YOU FACE WHEN TEACHIN THEM?
On my opinion, they are not really producing language they are parting so imagine if you have a low level of English they are going to make many mistakes, so teachers should focus attention on listening comprehension activities and on building a receptive vocabulary.

We know English language learners at this stage will need much repetition of English and we have to remember that they will benefit from a friend who speak the same language, so I think we need make the possibility and improve all the characteristic to be a good teacher ALWAYS¡¡¡¡

WHY SHOULD MEXICAN KIDS LEARN ENGLISH?
In my view, not only the Mexican kids should learn English, but also all Mexican people, because Mexico depends widely of The United States for many kids of reason such as our slumping economy, our unemployment and our several common businesses. So, it is the main importance the children in Mexico could have the opportunity to learn English as a second language, so that, they could be trained successfully to confront this startling city by themselves. Besides we should take advantage of children’s wise and disposal to learn whatever we teach them.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN OBSTACLES YOU FACE WHEN TEACHING THEM?
The main obstacle I’ve faced is to catch their attention whether when they only want to play or just because they don’t find something attractive in the class. Usually they keep up their attention in something new, something they have just discovered; it can be a new word, a new figure, a new song, a new color, etc. and they don’t care about following rules.
ACCORDING TO YOUR SELFEVALUATION, HOW COULD YOU IMPROVE YOUR TEACHING TO PROMOTE YOUR SS LEARNING?
Of course, there are many ways to improve my students learning. I can be more patient, enthusiastic and listener person in order to understand better their necessities, as a result I can obtain a discipline assertively and rich the purpose successfully. In other hand taking courses frequently is the best tool to know how children change, what are the best teaching techniques according with their age. I can take advantage or their love for games while I am teaching new structures.

Well. I’m agree with Rossy when said that children are very capable to understand and to imitate every sound, gesture and movement because they are extremely smart, in some cases more than we. We need teach them everything that could be a tool in their lives.
I coincide with Karen that we need to be more prepared and competitive to make English classes easier, funnier and enjoyable nevertheless we should aware them how important the English language is.

Why should Mexican Kids learn English?
Mexican Kids should learn English because nowadays It is a necessity. When these children grow up and study in faculties they have to learn English and improve their careers. I think it is the best time for many people, during their childhood when they must learn English, Why? Because when we are kids we learn faster than when we are adults. Children keep in mind a lot of information, data and events and they understand many things and also they can learn a second language similar they learn their native language.
What are the main obstacles you face when teaching them?
The main obstacle, I think, is that children are easily distract, and sometimes they are not paying attention in the subject, they much of the time are thinking, for example, in games or many other things and we as teachers should work on having their attention.
According to your self evaluation, how could you improve your teaching to promote your Students Learning?
Well, I can begin identifying the Students characters and then I can use different tecniques and methods, for instance, planning my lessons, managing discipline assertively, keeping up to date, watching out for my preparation, in order to obtain better results in the process of learning and improving myself in the teaching area.

Why should Mexican kids learn English?

In my opinion, I think that the best stage of learning English is of course when you are a kid, because kids are like sponges, they learn everything so easily. So if they have this opportunity, they will have better living conditions and the chance to have an excellent job in the future.
What are the main obstacles you face when teaching them?
The main obstacle is that they get distracted very easily and in some cases there are kids that try to attrack your attention doing something else or talking with their classmates, that makes me think there is a lack of attention at home, you know nowadays both parents have to work and kids are most of the time alone and with a enormous necessity of affection. In other cases they want to work less and play more. So be patient and try always to understand and help them.
According to your self-evaluation, how could you improve your teaching to promote your ss. learning?
First of all being well prepared and paying attention in the individual needs, abilities, knowledge, multiple intelligences and learning styles of each ss. in order to make easier, funny and useful classes, sometimes addapted to real situations, that can help to provoke success in the ss. learning process.

I agree with Gerardo, when he said that we as a teachers have to give ss. enjoyable and memorable lessons, because they are our responsability and it is in our hands to remember memorable times.

1.Why should Mexican kids learn English?
There has been an educational transformation in Sector Educational period 2007-2012.The SEP has established a new objective: “To improve the quality of education for the students to attain a better academic performance and have available means to access general well-being and contribute to the development of the country. With this new program not only kids from private schools but also Mexican children from public schools will have this opportunity to learn English.
2,-What are the main obstacles you face when teaching them?
I have to think that they are not adults they are only kids who has been in this world only for five or six years who likes to play, to talk and to be in constant movement. I am the adult , the teacher who has to adapt to their circunstances and to understand their psychological l characteristics .I need to learn how to become a good tutor, prompter, organizer……..etc.
I have to plan my class very carefully in order to keep Students busy, quiet, happy. They need to enjoy the class and feel comfortable .It´s difficult but not impossible and with the daily experience ,a good attitude and respect and by doing the right things at the right moment I will be able to manage the class discipline.
3.-According to your self evaluation, how could you improve your teaching to improve your students learning?
By letting them communicate their feeling and needs. Listening to them. By observing their characteristics trying to understand their behavior.

I agree with Gerardo and Karen´s opinion. I think that children at an early age will be more successful than others starting the English learning since they are young because they got the language easily.
1.Why should Mexican kids learn English?
There has been an educational transformation in Sector Educational period 2007-2012.The SEP has established a new objective: “To improve the quality of education for the students to attain a better academic performance and have available means to access general well-being and contribute to the development of the country. With this new program not only kids from private schools but also Mexican children from public schools will have this opportunity to learn English.
2,-What are the main obstacles you face when teaching them?
I have to think that they are not adults they are only kids who has been in this world only for five or six years who likes to play, to talk and to be in constant movement. I am the adult , the teacher who has to adapt to their circunstances and to understand their psychological l characteristics .I need to learn how to become a good tutor, prompter, organizer……..etc.
I have to plan my class very carefully in order to keep Students busy, quiet, happy. They need to enjoy the class and feel comfortable .It´s difficult but not impossible and with the daily experience ,a good attitude and respect and by doing the right things at the right moment I will be able to manage the class discipline.
3.-According to your self evaluation, how could you improve your teaching to improve your students learning?
By letting them communicate their feeling and needs. Listening to them. By observing their characteristics trying to understand their behavior.

I totally agree with Mireya about the point of studying English at an early age as a second language to open many doors in the future, and also to improve in their academical formation and get a well-paid job.↲David says something interesting about obstacles such as economical problems, parents divorce or maybe any kind of abuse,which We may not realize and affects their learning process.↲I really liked what Angeles mentioned about English Classes in Mexico not only at private schools but in state schools as well, as the competition has been increasing so much,people should be well prepared to face hard life and the best start is when they are young. Althought it is not easy to learn a language as L2 if We could so can They.

Teaching kids a great challenge?

WHY SHOULD MEXICAN KIDS LEARN ENGLISH?
Well, according to our reality of globalization it is more than necessary to be prepared in order to get a job in the future, so learning English at an early stage (in this case during the childhood) is a must among Mexican kids nowadays. Little by little Mexican kids’ education is starting to change and studying English is a great opportunity to state that Mexican childhood earns great possibilities to develop future world leaders. Personally, I think this could be the beginning of a new era.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN OBSTACLES YOU FACE WHEN TEACHING THEM?
First of all, the fact that their English foundations most of the times are not as good as any teacher might expect because they are not commonly used to practice it even though if they had the possibility to be in any Kindergarten facility or an early stimulation centre. In this case the best option is to start since the beginning with them so they can recover part of the time they did not learn English.
Secondly, kids find difficult to concentrate sometimes because their stimuli and abstraction is not the same as the one adults have got as we all know. I can now mention Erik Lenneberg (1967) who was the first specialist that found how language acquisition varies in kids and adults because adults do not have the same brain plasticity capabilities compared to adults, something very important to use while having child students. During that time, kids’ brain is like a sponge, absorbing very fast any concept that is taught to them. For example, as a way of reference, fully colored charts, a wide diversity of child songs, and psychomotor activities are a great resource to focus their learning.
Third, mischievous and rebellious behaviors on kids these days represent a great challenge for any teacher, especially for amateur ones. They want to be the center of attraction most of the times so they are always joking rather than paying attention. The origin, well, it has to do with education at home. Parents must improve the way they show principles to their kids. In my personal point of view, it is possible to handle these situations by talking to them in private after the class has ended with the purpose of detecting what could be the problem with them.
ACCORDING TO YOUR SELFEVALUATION, HOW COULD YOU IMPROVE YOUR TEACHING TO PROMOTE YOUR SS LEARNING?
As far as I have seen, I have to be more analytical with kids’ necessities by being more patient, comprehensive, looking forward to improve their learning and my own understanding to them as fast as possible. The creation of a good teaching environment is also important for kids so they will be able earn nice experiences that would help them to increase their self-confidence, rather important for their present and future assessment of personal identity. Another thing is that I have to invest more time on preparing my classes and continue updating teaching techniques with the purpose of being in touch about kids’ continuous change.

Not only children but also adults are greatly benefitted by speaking, writing and understanding English. Nowadays it is very important to people studying and preparing for life. A great number of industries requires the use of English, so it is very important to be in contact with this language. Children are likened to sponges because they absorb so much, but LOOK OUT!!!.... sponges can lose a lot as well, as do children who have not had the opportunity to retain what they´ve seen.
2.- WHAT ARE THE MAIN OBSTACLES YOU FACE WHEN TEACHING THEM?
The habbits at home are really important.... nowadays, kids an boys are not "well educated" at home.... They need to know and to practice respect.
Our students are also very lazy and theya are not interested in discipline and must of them are not "hungry" to learn neither topics about our native language nor the new language.
Its a grat responsability not only for teacher but also for parents to teach our kids the "hungry" and the necesity for learning not only a second language but also a lot of thongs about history, math, and any other topics.

Been punctual
Having a good attitude.
Appereance is really important.
And the most important.... preparation.

I am agree with you when you say that. The teacher preparation is imptant to keep the children in pace and interested in our classes, but I think that Children´s parents are also important, they need to kage now how to educate and correct bad habbits in their sons.... I think a good education is a double responsability... at school and at home...
I also think that learning a second language is possible in any age... but it si almost proved that it is easier for children to learn English.
