TT2 Tuesday my own teaching techniques
1. The first thing I would do if I had a classroom where I could post signs around, is word in Spanish and underneath in English. These would content different types of subjects.
A) math
b) Science
c) Geography
D) Physics
e) History
f) Physical education
g) Civics
Depending on the space in the classroom and if possible teacher would take up space and use the roof as well.
2. Try to get to know students and their musical preferences and make up a song in English and in Spanish that say pretty much the same thing on both languages.
3. Depending on the students imagination to make the song different ideas and put them into different subjects, that way the classes will be based on the different ideas of what the students came up with.
4. To keep the students attention the teacher can have them pick which subject students want to learn.
A) Words
b) Phrases
c) Sports
d) Places
e) Cars
Teacher can stick to one area for a while and then move to another student's suggestion.
5. In all classes there is always a student or students that misbehave and to prevent that from happening or to try to reduce that from happening they can help teacher make the lesson plan for the next class. That way the student puts their input and suggests what would make it more interesting to keep their attention.
6. Overall, the main goal is to make sure the student feels comfortable enough to the point where they would actually want to use what they learned. Each class will be different because teacher interacts different situations in student’s everyday life. From focusing on pronunciation to learning to speak/listen/read/write, students main focus is to make the student feel comfortable and confident.
