If I were asked a new methodology I´d state.
Update people like watch TV all the time because TV had become the first one to catch people attention, and in second place , we have internet and cellophane so we have to designee meaningful programs and audios , where Ss Would like watch and listen English through this aids to be in touch in English most of the time that´s why I suggest.
1.- Use meaningful cartons where , there were real situations and the Ss would like watch again and again and it could be a better practice.
2.-Focus on speaking and listening through communicative task
3.- We always are stressed that’s why Ss lost attention and don´t care on the classes and we have to make a little relaxation before the class start .
4.-Have little presentation .
5.-Have clear instructions to Ss.
6 -Let them share their likes with their partners and working in teams.
7. - tests are something that stresses all the Ss and we, as teachers have to monitored all the time in order to clarify.

1. Based on communication, the oral production should be very important in my approach, and introducing topics or lesson as a whole through context and situations for the language.
2. Including some drills for repetition and effort the students to speak the target language.
3. I think it would be a good idea making the students to memorize some vocabulary items or rules and their meanings in the target language so they be able to increase vocabulary.
4. Teacher must be a mediator of learning and must be active and creative, giving the students self-confidence and motivate them.
5. Encorage the students to develop the four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) not only in chunks but as the best way to communicate, and using the students’ native language sparingly.
I agree with Irma about focus in listening and speaking but I consider also reading and writing for a complete develop of the language.

My own english method

This is my proposed teaching method in order to to create a constructivist classroom, however, include some activities to keep the class somewhat traditional, seeking a balance suitable for elementary students.

Note: In pharentesis include the capital letters of each method

1 .- (GTM/PPP) Introduce the topic of presenting students with short grammar rules, presenting the context and situation.
2.- (ALM) This grammatical using in simple situation by drilling, using examples and demostration with vocabulary control.
3.- (GDM) Early use of writing looking for a self correction of errors.
4.- (CLT) Then involve the students with books, pictures, websites and material for their interested getting enough exposure at the language to get opportunities to try out real language.
5.- (TBL) At this moment the students plan the task, gather language and information to do it and with the appropiate material they can do communicative activities by themselves producing language.

I agree about taking the mass media as part of their information sources and current issues play well for the purpose of upgrading

On the other hand it is definite that the behavior of a teacher must be a mediator rather than a depositor.

My methodology would be influenced by comunicative language teaching, emphazises on speaking practice than on grammar rules.
Principles
1- Based in comunicative language, students will practice each new structure with conversations about real life during the classroom to make the students able to speak either real thoughs or feelings.
2- After the students had known how to speak correctly with fluency and entonation, they will learn grammar rules in order to perform the language.
3- Practice the four basic skills in English, listening, reading, speaking and writing within tha classroom and with the same frequency with a variety of activities such as watch movies, listening songs, read interesting stories and conversation topics.
4- Doing most of the activities in pairs or teams, the activities should imply little problems so that the students could solve them while they are learning.
5- Don’t forget drills to momorize some difficult structures and difficult vocabulary like verbs.
6- Teaching students think in English without translating into students’ language.
7- Exclusively use of the target language.

I agree with Mireya according to introducing a topics or lessons in a whole context based in oral produccion, because the students should be able to expresing ideas, feelings, and objectives relating with the structures they are learning. Besides I agree with Irma because teachers always have to monitor their students in order to observe their improvements or weaknesses and this is not possible with one test at the end of the course.

TEACHER PRESENTS A SITUATION WITH A PICTURE, DRAW, POSTER......

PRINCIPLES

A NEW LANGUAGE IS AN IMITATION OF SOMETHING UNKNOWN.

ACTUALLY WHEN WE HAVE A NEED WE START COPYING FROM OTHER WHO GET SOMETHING FIRST.

IT IS NOT EASY THE BEGIN, WE TRY TO FIND OUT THE WAY OF FACILITATE OUR LIFES BUT THIS METHOD OF LEARNING IS SO FLEXIBLE STUDENTS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN AND EXPLAIN THEIR OWN EXPERIENCES BUT THE MAIN THING IS TO TRY OUT REAL LANGUAGE.

MEXICAN MIGRANTS ARE THE BEST EXAMPLE, THEY GO TO THE STATES WITH NO IDEA ABOUT THE LANGUAGE BUT FINALLY THEY FIND THE WAY TO SURVIVE THEY LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE.
THEY PRACTICE A MECHANICAL DRILL OF REPETITION THEN BECOME MEANINGFUL WHEN THEY GET WHAT THEY NEED.

EX. CAN I HAVE COFFEE AND DONUTS PLEASE?

THE REWARD IS TO EAT. WE DON'T FOR HOW MANY DAYS THEY HAVE TO EAT THIS BUT THE NEED WILL ENCOURAGE TO LEARN SOMETHING ELSE.

ABOUT MY CLASSMATES METHOD IS FINALLY THE SAME TARGET TO FIND THE EASIEST WAY OF TEACHING ALL OF US PRETEND THAT OUR STUDENTS GET THE NEW LANGUAGE MORE QUICKLY AND EASY AS WHEN WE STUDIED.

I think teachers has to present the context and situation for the language first, given a model so students can follow it.Giving clear and short instructions.
2.-Teacher explains and demostrates the meaning and form of the new language using gestures,mimics, pointing to poeple or objects.She doesn´t need to translate at all.
3.-She presents several examples using meaninful material and have students work with them until they discover the interrelationships.
4.-She presents structures and grammar rules by giving examples in simple situations,
5.-She encourages students to make guessed based on incomplete evidences and then to confirm or disprove the guesses systematically.
6.-Teacher motivates her students to practice making different sentences using the new item.She can use drillings and T-S,S-T and S-S.
7.-She will try that all the students practice the new piece of language she is teaching.
8.-Teacher has to concider her students´characteristics like the age, their interests and needs, the target language, their aptitudes............etc.
9.-She doesn´t have to correct every single error students make because she knows that it is normal.
10.-By observing her students she is making a permanent process of evaluation and assessment.
I agree with Mireya´s opinion about that we as teachers have to develop selfconfidence and motivate our students being mediators on their own learning process.And with Irma´s opinion when she says that we also have to focus our attention in the four basic skills.

First of all, I would use a mixture of the theories based on cognitivism such as: Gestalt (to know my ss behavior and perception of things), Ausubel (giving them meaningful learning), Piaget (learning through playing for cognitive development), Vygotsky (in an outdoor environment and practices) and Gardner (to develop and maximize all their intelligences through different and dinamic classes).

the methods I would use, would be: TBL, (Communicative activities are the heart of learning and Ss perform real likfe tasks) PPP, (present the context and situation, practice and produce the talking) CLT (language involves more than grammar patterns, functions) and AUDIO-LINGUAL METHOD (introducing mimicry, drawing, teacher gets support from examples and demonstrations).

I agreed with Mireya's point of view, we need to develop in children the 4 skills; and Karen gave a very good example of learning English as an inmigrant.

1.-TEACHING YOUNG LEARNERS IS A BIG RESPONSIBILITY AS WE AS A TEACHERS ARE SUPPOSED TO GIVE THEM ENJOYABLE LESSONS, SO MY TEACHING TECNIQUE IS LOADS OF INTERACTION BY PLAYING,COMPETING,ASKING EACH OTHER AND IN THIS CASE I AM USING THE COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGE, BECAUSE THEY DO NOT NEED TO MAKE LONG CONVERSATIONS THEY ARE JUST FOCUSING ON SIMPLE CONVERSATIONS BUT MEANINFUL AT THE SAME TIME BECAUSE THEY ARE TELLING THINGS ABOUT REAL LIFE.

2.-NEVERTHELESS IS VERY KNOWN THAT THEIR SPAM OF ATTENTION ES VERY SHORT DUE TO THEIR YOUTH, HOWEVER THEY ARE CAPABLE ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND AND THE TECNIQUE AL ALWAYS APPLY IN CLASS IS THE DIRECT METHOS BECAUSE ALTHOUGH THEY DO NOT HAVE A HUGE VOCABULARY AS US THEY CAN UNDERSTAND PERFECTLY BY MIMING, USING BODY LANGUAGE AND REPETING, SO THAT THEY START FAMILIARISING THE LANGUAGE.

3.-ANOTHER USEFUL METHOS IS THE MECHANICAL DRILL THAT IS BASED ON MAKING QUESTIONS, SOLVING PROBLEMS, FOCUSING ON REAL SITUATIONS AND DISCOVERING INFORMATION FROM THE OTHER STUDENTS, SO WE WILL HAVE THE OPORTUNITY TO KNOW MORE ABOUR OU Ss AND IN THAT CASE WE WILL BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY NEEDS, INTERESTS AND LIKES TO MAKE UP MORE AND MORE ACTIVITIES.

4.-ONE METHOD THAT I FIND IT USEFUL IS "THE SUGGESTOPEDIA" I DO KNOW IF TEACHERS USE IT SO OFTEN, ANYWAY IT HAS GIVEN ME RESULTS, BECAUSE IT HELPS WITH THE TEACHING OF VERY YOUNG CHILDREN TO MOTIVATE,ENCOURAGE AND SOMETIMES TO UNDERSTAND THEM, BECAUSE AS FAR AS I KNOW, THE MOST IMPORTANT OF LEARNING A LANGUAGE IS TO DISCOVER, PRACTICE AND PUT THE KNOWLEDGE INTO PRACTICE AND IT DOES NOT MATTER IF Ss MAKE MISTAKES THAT IS WHY TEACHERS ARE A FRIEND,COMPLICE, AND SOMETIMES AS A FATHER OR MOTHER IN ORDER TO MAKE CHILDREN FEEL SAVE AND MOTIVATED TO LEARN.

5.- THE METHOD OF WATCHING FILMS,READING AND ROLE PLAY IS VERY FUNNY AND USEFUL AT THE SAME TIME AS TEACHER PROMOTE THE INTERACTION BEETWEN Ss AND SOMETIMES CAN TAKE PART IN THE PLAY. THIS METHOD IS KIND OF NEW BECAUSE WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY AS A GREAT SUPPORT AND WHENEVER WE NEED TO FIND SOMETHING WE CAN GET A HAND FROM IT.SO I CONSIDER THAT FOR MY OWN TECHNIQUES IS VERY USEFUL TO HAVE A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES AND THIS IS ONE OF THE NEWEST AND MOST USED WITH A SUCESSFUL OUTCOMES.

IT ONLY REMAINS FOR TO SAY THAT ALL THESE METHODS AND TECHNIQUES ARE THE BASIS OF A GOOD TEACHING BECAUSE THERE ARE MANY MORE WE CAN APPLY BUT IT IS UP TO US AND OF COURSE DEPENDING ON THE CIRCUMSTANCE.

ACCORDING TO MY CLASSMATES I AGREE WITH ANGIE´S PROPOSAL OF SETTING THE CONTEXT SINCE THE VERY BEGINNING BECAUSE THAT IS GOING TO HELP US TO DEVELOP A GOOD CLASS WITH THE MATERIALS AND METHODS WE CHOSE.

I ALSO AGREE WITH KAREN ´S PROPOSAL OF SELF-CORRECTION AND THIS IS GREAT BECAUSE AS A TEACHER THAT IS A THING WE SHOULD AVOID DOING AT LEAST FREQUENTLY OR WAIT UNTIL THEY FINISH THEIR ACTIVITY BECAUSE OTHERWISE THEY MIGHT FEEL FRUSTRATED OR EMBARRASSED. THEY DO NOT NEED TO MEMORISE GRAMMAR RULES BECAUSE THEY WILL USE AFTER SEEING,WRITING,SPEAKING AND READING AND IN THAT WAY THEY ARE LEARNING GRAMMAR UNCONSCIOUSLY, SO THAT THEY DISCOVER THEIR MISTAKES BY THEMSELVES.

1. I think that first of all, the teacher has to present a small conversation about real life using mimicry or gestures in order that ss. could get the meaning. repetition is important for pronunciation and fluency.
2. Vocabulary is important the same as the use of drills to memorize structures given in the dialogue.
3. After practice, Ss. read the dialogue and then write it. Here they are using the four abilities, L, S. R, W
4. Ss. work in teams creating a new dialogue using the same structure, gaining self steem in the language.
5. Teacher encourage and monitoring all the time to help them and solve their doubts.

I agree with Maribel that they have to practice with a variety of activities such as watch movies,listening to songs all these things of student´s interest.
I think the same as Mireya when she said that sometimes we have to use ss. native language in order that ss. get the exact meaning and could apply the knowlege in a right way.

I believe that as a teacher we need make emphasis in the production of the new language. I mean wherever you decides work to the principal point would be make sure that students learn as well as possible.
And I said that because I at this moment speak and understand English is very necessary in many spaces and of course into the educational area.
INCLUDE AT LEAST FIVE PRINCIPLES. USE THE INFORMATION OF THE METHODS YOU HAVE STUDIED AND DON´T FORGET THE THEORIES OF LEARNING.
First of all I start looking for an activity that that catch the attention of my students to show them the advantages to speak a new language according with ages of the students.
It is necessary know all kind of methodologies and with this information teacher get information about the way to follow a class
I think that allow keep the purpose of the learn
Another point that is important is create a fun atmosphere because it is known that when students feel good learn better.
Besides I think that is important work with activities belongs into the context for example a phone call or make some kind of shopping to help student establish a communication.

I would call my method Meaningful Learning for English Language Communication.

This method would be focused on preparing students to apply the English language in real situations, based on the four pillars of education, and aimed at all types of learning as well as exploiting their abilities, and personalities.

ELEMENTS

1- assess the knowledge acquired by students throughout life, on the subject to develop.
2- help students understand, extend and reinforce the knowledge gained (seeking information, or if it is possible to visit places where things are related to the subject).
3- organize discussions and brainstorming with the information acquired to perform mental maps, charts or summaries only if they are needed.
4- Working in pairs trios or groups the students apply this knowledge to show their creativity , making a collage, writing a poem, compose a song, preparing a sketch etc.
5- set up situations where they have to apply the knowledge, implementing decisions, confidence in themselves to the resolution of problems.
6- self-assessment, an evaluation group and the teacher's opinion, it is important for verification of meaningful learning.
7- although in most cases not possible, try some simple activity to share with parents for the creation of family values, it is very important for student development.

PRINCIPLES.

• check whether the student knows what is true, or supplement their knowledge on the subject.
• will strengthen the knowledge, analytical and creative way to expand the area of opportunity for everyone no matter which hemisphere of the brain dominates
• Students will learn to have better social relationships with others, and will have the opportunity to have the confidence to make decisions and solve problems using language.
• if possible, improve the family relationship as well as quality time with family

If I have to create a new methodology I´ll focus on communication because people would find uselful to learn a new language ; if people put on practise what they have learned they would be motivated and continue what they have learned.Some principles that I´´ll introduce to it will be:
*language as it is used in a real context.
*Being able to figure out the speaker´s or writer´s intentions is part of being communicatively competent.
*target language ia a vehicle for classroom communication, not just the objecet of study.
*variety of linguistic forms are presented together ( being the real language used) .
*Learners should owrk in pairs or groups and try to solve problematic task with their available language knowledge.
*Provide learners the opportunities to use their English for communicative purpose.
*social acquisition it´s important so learners will be actively involved in the learning process.
*Students´harmony will be sorrounding.
*Students constructed structures based on their own experiences.
I´m agree with Irma and Myrella that L2 must be based on communication cause students will find the learning meaninful and useful.
