Do you think you should correct every single mistake your ss make?

No, I think this wouldn't be fair, and I wouln't be respectful with them.

Why?

Because they are learning ! And if they are motivated, and I correct every single mistake, they would feel fool, or discourage about English.

What is the best way to correct your ss mistakes and errors?

I think it could be personally, when I am ticking them, or may be in team, and why not like a game, with a contest.

1.-Do you think you should correct every single mistake your students make? Yes, of course I have to correct every single mistake in order to make students use and learn the correct use of English, the correction could be written or oral but I have to wait the right moment to do it.

2.- Why? If I don´t correct students they will continue making mistakes thinking that they are correct, when I was learning to speak English I didn´t know how to pronouce the word "written" correctly, so I used that word a lot of times even in oral exams and nobody corrected me until I was in the Teacher´s Course" it wasn´t easy for me to modify my pronunciation but I did it, if the teacher hadn´t corrected me maybe I will continue pronouncing that word in the same way, that could happen to my students and I can prevent that.

3. What is the best way to correct your students mistakes and errors? Well I don´t know if it is the best way but, I use to do it in the following form, when they are speaking and they are saying something wrong or pronouncing I correct them until they say the phrase or word and I ask them to repeat again, when they write something wrong I circle the word and I write under the mistake the correct form. I think is very important correct errors in my students, if the teachers don´t correct the students, they wiil learn English in incorrect form and they are going to continue with the same error all their life.

Why?
Because is very important that we learn English in the correct way and we have to do it since the beginning, in the future the student can continue with the same mistake.

What is the best way to correct your ss mistakes and errors?.
This part is the most important thing that we have to do in order to correct errors in my students, because if I do it in incorrect way I can affect them forever and ever. If they have an error I try to correct it when they finish to read or finish to speak, because if I do it in the moment that student do it they maybe can forget that they are saying o reading. If they are writing in the board, then I correct them in the same moment that they are writing.

But it is important to know how to do it? And in what moment to do it?, in order that the student does not feel only as a scolding or as the exhibition of his mistakes. Take that as the form in which the teacher can support them.

To correct his mistakes in the moment in which they present them can be a good way of helping, simultaneously that it could be a good form of giving a positive feedback.

Another way of correcting or helping to them is to offer tools or tips that help them to develop a better auditory capacity, linguistic and the writing capacity.

Why? I'm Teacher. As a Teacher you should guide them in the correct way. Not only in grammar, writing, speaking mistakes they make but also all the errors as a teacher you see. Remember you're a Former, Professional person.

What's the best way to correct your ss mistakes and errors? There are many ways to correct them.
Students have different intelligences and learning styles and it gives you the best way to correct them. But whichever method of correction you choose students need to know that you're treating them with respect and not using sarcasm.
You know? When I was studying I was afraid thinking all people wants make fun of me. It is hard. So, I insist

It depends on their age. If my Ss are small, I wouldn't correct their mistakes. Because just like they learned their mother tongue Language hearing it all the time, they will learn English too and we have to be pacient, they will catch up without us noticing it.
With the older ones, yes I would correct their mistakes, because if we don`t do it, they will sure continue with the mistake, and what we want as teachers, is that our Ss learn the correct way of the Language.
It depends on the activity, if they are in a speach, we can write their mistakes in a notebook, and when they end with their speach we write them on the board and ask them if they can find the mistakes, if they can't, we help them. And if my Ss say something that changes completely the meaning of the sentence, I correct inmediately. When they are speaking and pronounce incorrectly, I inmediately say the word so they can repeat it in that moment.

In other way they don not realize what they are doing bad. And for a correct use of English. Whatismore mistakes are things that happen when somebody is learning something
aren't they.
2.Why? How i say is for do the best in the use of English. Althought we need to know when correct them in order to do not affect our students and as a teacher never forget we are a guide, and motivate students to do it better, despite of the fact as a students have mistakes and as a teacher why not, we are human beings.

1. How do you deal with your students'errors ?
We must make Ss self-concious that we learn from mistakes. It's an experience Ss must learn from in order to become a better learner. It is virtually impossible to comment on what is right or wrong in what a learner has done without conveying some kind of assessment. If a correction is supplied, the learner is very aware that this means the teacher thinks something was wrong; if comment is given on why something was appropriate, there is necessarily an underlying message of commendation.
2. Do you think you should correct every single mistake your Ss make ? Why ?
Because, Probably I'm not able to catch every single mistake they make but the mistakes I'm able to catch I can deal with them in a more rigid and better way. Teachers are sometimes urged to be 'non-judgemental"when giving feedback ; in my opinion this is unrealistic. Any meaningful feedback is going to involve some kind of judgement. It is more useful, perhaps, to accept that there is judgement involved, but to try to make the attitude to this more positive.
3. What is the best way to correct your Ss mistakes and errors ?
Once, I catch them on a mistake I point out the error to them and make them analise what they did wrong and come up with the best solution according to their needs and make them think for themselves that mistakes are a natural an useful part of language learning; that when I give feedback on them , the purpose is to help and promote learning; and that "getting it wrong" is not "bad", but rather a way into "getting it right".

I totally agree due to I am a posibilator of knowledge and it is part of learning above all when they are not able to notice their mistakes and need help or explanation. on the other hand it is necessary to find the right moment and way according to the mistakes and learners.

Why? It is important they are able to know they can make a mistake but also there is a possibility to correct them and learn more, moreover give the oportunity to other new mistakes in order to correct them and achieve more knowledge.

accept I have mistakes and I need to improve and provide with knowledge I need and also extra help from other teachers.

No I do not correct them that often, only sometimes.

Because I think it is difficult to them to start speaking in English, and if I correct them every single mistake, they will loose motivation and self-confidence to start talking. I think that correct it´s very important if we are learning grammar structures, or if they are in a higher grade. (4, 5, 6, th grades). They will start learning by listening what teacher says, so it is important that we have a good English speaking level.

During the oral practice, (elicit) and encourage them to talk in a correct way.

First I think it is important to make our students concious that we learn from our mistakes in order to know that making mistakes is very comun and don´t fell bad when we make them but it doesn´t means that making mistakes is good. On the other hand We have to know When and How to correct their mistakes .We have to analize if what we are correcting it´s necesary to do it at the moment depending on the skill or activity we are working with.
When I¨m working with little kids almost always I correct the pronunciation because they are learning as in their own tongue.With older kids it depends on the activity if I notice that it is important I do it inmediatly specially in speaking but not in every single word.

Well it depends on what kind of actvities they working on. Considering their stage of learning and grade.

Why?
Because if they working on reading skills of course I will to correct every single mistake in order to give them, with the objetive of giving them a wider range of options for improved performance
But if they working on speaking skills then simply let the conversation flow and write down the errors and later generally I can respond to their mistakes.

What is the best way to correct your ss mistakes and errors?.
We have to take care of because there is always a risk to have students misunderstand our correction and recive them in terms of criticim in that way
I will encourage students by praising them for a well done job.and then, with subtlely point out their erros.
I think is as the manual says that genuine teacher must interest about student´s work.
Because as a teacher we must be aware of the challenge in a carrying out this kind of correct in the best way.
Such as if they are speaking with out verb to-be, “I (am) tired, She work (s) for American company” I´ll need to speak and repeat several times the word or write down on the blackboard.

Do you think you should correct every single mistake your ss make? No, I think that depends what kind of error or mistake it is and which are both, the context and level of the students.
Why? Because if I correct my Students frecuently at the beggining, they may feel discouraged. I think that sometimes, they are also able to correct themselves for exposure to language.
What is the best way to correct your ss mistakes and errors? Expose Ss to the language at the right level, they practicing with other people the language and focus them on the form of the language.

Yes, of course It´s important.

WHY? Because I think if they learn more from their mistakes and It´s good to Imply that they are wrongs and should corrected, so give them self-confience, they can give their views even to correct them and to speak, write, read and heard language better.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CORRECT YOUR SS MISTAKES AND ERRORS?
I think that we must be careful to correct students must be do in a way the students don´t feel bad or offended ot that their classmates take it to a head that a student don´t know, just tell where is the error an correct it, this is to speak the language, otherwise would be for the written words is correct their have written bad, for reading must be corrected so misread what they repeat the word or phrase after the teacher has read and for the listening the teacher should pay attention if the students to really understand the audio, so if you see the students don´t undestand play the audio again for two or three times until the students understand better and anwers the questions.

I think that it depends on the kind of mistake and also it depends on the objectives that we have in each activity. For example, when I detect a mistake in the books or notebooks related to grammar or comprehension of activities, of course I correct them, it is important to let students know how they can improve their English grammar by noticing their own mistakes.

On the other hand, when they make mistakes, such as pronunciation ones, I consider that we have to be more flexible and not to interrupt them in every single mistake they made. It would be kind of frustrating for them.

Why?

It is important to correct mistakes, but we have to know how and when the appropriate way and time is, as I have said, I think that we have to be flexible and sometimes not correct every single mistake, especially while they are speaking. We have to be very careful and not made our students feel frustrated instead of give them confidence.

What is the best way to correct your ss mistakes and errors?

I think that as teachers we have to correct mistakes taking into account the age of students and their different ways of learning. Also it is important make it in an individual way, but also, sometimes mistakes have to be generalized and corrected with the whole group, in order of not making our students feel uncomfortable.

Why?
Yes, because a mistake is a tool on learning process and knowledge is also built through mistakes, if we correct students, we have the advantage to reinforce weakness and to feedback students. In addition to study we have learned through mistakes. I wish I had a spooky voice to correct me or help me when I make a mistake.

What is the best way to correct your ss mistakes and errors?.
Self correction: These corrections are given while the student is producing orally and he/she makes a mistake and realizes in the moment and without help he/she corrects by herself / himself immediately.
Immediate correction: this correction is given when a student or students are participating, reading, debating, etc. and somebody commits a mistake, in that moment if one of the student doesn´t clear the mistake, teacher has to correct immediately just pronouncing in loud voice the word without point who committed the mistake. Or in a written exercise correct the bad written word and just say: “be careful” “be careful it is a cognate, a noun, a verb, etc”
Peer correction: in this correction teacher only has to hear the students’ production without interrupt them, after the performance teacher has to give a short written observation or short spoken advice, it is like a feedback.

WE MAY ALSO SHOW THEM HOW TO PUT THEIR MISTAKE RIGHT.

- THE WAY TO CORRECT MISTAKES IS DEPEND ON WRITING OR SPEAKING,WE USE ORAL CORRECTION TECHNIQUES TO CORRECT ORAL MISTAKES AND WRITTEN CORRECTION TECHNIQUES TO CORRECT WRITTEN MISTAKES.

I correct the mistakes of my students and I take the opportunity taking into account their feelings, because I always try to say if you say in this way is better and I avoid to say no you are wrong or no you don´t have reason.

Why? In order to make students known the correct way of English, besides that If t don't correct them,they will continue making the same mistake again and again.
What is the best way to correct your ss mistakes and errors? It depends on the moment and the activity, (speaking, writing,grammar...) as a teacher I have to be respectful and patient with my students in order to motivate them to participate no matter if its right or not, but definitely I have to be very careful when I correct them because students then to make fun when someome said or make something wrong.

Yes of course I do because if we are teaching a new idiom we need to teach the correct way, I think that the errors are vicious and if we don’t correct them, the students will continue making the same error and if we correct in the moment they think about it and they to correct it. The important is the way like you correct because if you do it when the students is speaking they can feel afraid, he could not like speak any more, so it good to correct depend each students some of them like to correct inmediately other at the final or in a general way.
What is the best way to correct your student’s mistakes and errors?
I think that it’s depend the students and the activity, for example if it’s an speaking skill a don’t use to correct inmediatly , I prefer to listen and when they finish correct (writing errors on a paper or telling them), if the skill is writing or listening (CD) correct in the moment in order that they can continue in correct way and if it’s reading sometimes I correct in the moment or if they’re a lot of mistakes I correct the more important and I practice individual with him after of.
