Assessments and Evaluahe are essential processes in the teahing-learning process. The first information I get are the strengths and weaknesses of each student and group general. (assessments). This is achieved through observation of each student and the group. How they interact and how much knowledge they have on certain issues. You should not miss the feedback between them. Collecting evidence is important in this process. (Drawings, essays, songs, poems, etc) These results will set the tone for me to know where should I go with my group.
Each child is different and as their teaching process. I should be very careful during the teching learning process and may conduct any evaluations necessary to determine the degree of progress that has been with the group or with the child. These test must be precise and accurate to agree to be evaluated. They can be in several ways: psychological, reasoning, cohabitation, general knowledge, and so on. The progress of each child depends on a good handling of these.
Assessments need to be developed at least three times during the school year to gather evidence from students about the achievements and progress gained from the group or individual.

As an English teacher It's important to get information about our students at all time through out the whole year. At the beginning of the course to get to know our students, the level they are in, their interest and what we need to teach them. It is also important to Assess our students in a daily base manner using different activities. Observation is one of these activities we can do in order to see how well they are learning, their needs and how we can help them improve. This is helpful not only for our students to have a better learning but also for us teachers to help us plan a better class in which our students enjoy and feel good to be in the class learning English. Our students need to feel confident and motivated by us teachers, show them that we care about their education by modeling our ss the English language but also good manners.

[justify][justify]Teacher would gather information about something like the student performance, also information about specific strengths and weaknesses of our students, by assessment teacher can diagnosts at the beginning of the course, unit or topic, determines students knowledge, skills also needs, interests and attitudes. During the teaching and learning process teacher can gather students’ information and at the end of a unit, project, course, term when students are ready to demonstrate achievement.

I would use all these information myself to determine if there are certain points I need to review or if several students have the same errors or mistakes maybe I need to improve the future lessons, perhaps students needs explanations but with another words so it would be easy for them to understand the topics, exercises, drills, maybe the instructions are not clear and it does not mean they do not know or learn something. Also It would help me to improve program planning, identifying strategies needed, encourage learners about their progress and give a qualification at the end of the course.

Well, in order to achieve our aims as teachers, the assessment is the main importance, we need to collect very specific information about our students such as their knowledge, so that we can know what we should learn them, their skills, challenges and learning styles to decide which techniques are the best ones to introduce the language, their strengths and weaknesses so we as teachers can design the manner of praising them in order to encourage them in their areas of improvement.
By the way, it´s also important that we can identify students needs, interests and attitudes because that is the way we are going to plan our lesson class, we can make decisions about changes to strategies or learning environment in order to make students language development success.

Finally in my view the evaluation is when we as teachers, as students, as peers and as parents realize what students skills, attitudes, knowledge, strengths are, and we give them a value towards a specific goal and with a wild view.

I agree with Evelin we as a teacher have to assess daily in order to gather information about every student and how each one has got the knowledge if they are on the learning process and how well they have understood and when they understand better, if the learning process has been successfuly or if I need improve different drills or different way to teach.
We have to be watchfull what is the real problem, because sometimes we think that the classes are good and well done. And we need to have feedback between Ss. and teacher .

Information that we need gather is what is the best way to learn to Ss. what kind of drills they need, if they have´nt understood yet and why they haven´t understood, may be they lack information or have a wrong idea and it isn´t clear, or they are afraid about their classmate or teacher and why do they feel in this way.
We need gather what topics are interesting to them, what are their strengths and weaknesses and needs .
Now when I have this information I can design a better teaching plan acording Ss´. needs ´.

THE ADVANTAGE TO BE IN A CLASSROOM AND BE AN ENGLISH TEACHER IS THE CONTACT WITH THE SS, IT IS A CLOSER RELATION WHERE YOU CAN GATHER NOT ONLY THEIR SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PROGRESS, SOMETHING ELSE ABOUT THEM THEIR FEELINGS, NEEDS PROBLEMS THAT MAY INFLUENCE IN THEIR PERFORMANCE, TO WORK WITH THEIR WEAKNESSES AND STRENGTHS, AS A TEACHER THE MOTIVATION TO KEEP WORKING IS TO ENJOY THE SS ACHIEVES AND THEIR EFFORT AND WHEN PARENTS REALIZE THEIR CHILDREN'S POWER OF LEARNING.

WE AS A TEACHER MUST IDENTIFY THE NEEDS OF OUR STUDENTS AND TRY TO FIND A WAY TO GIVE ENJOYABLE LESSONS ACCORDING TO DIFFERENT LEARNING STYLES AND I THINK THAT THE BEST WAY TO DO IT IS BY KNOWING WHAT THEY LIKE AND ARE INTERESTED IN TO COLLECT ALL THE INFORMATION WE NEED TO PROVIDE THEM THE TOOLS,INFORMATION THEY NEED.

NOW I HAVE A CLEARER IDEA IN HOW AND WHEN TO ASSESS AND I AGREE WITH EVELIN BECAUSE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ASSESS DAILY IN ORDER TO HAVE A BALANCE IN THE LEARNING PROCESS OF OUR STUDENTS AND SEE HOW THEY ARE PERFORMING AND IMPROVING EACH ENGLISH SKILL. IN MY CASE I TRY TO BE COMMUNICATIVE AND SOMETIMES I ASK MY STUDENTS TO PROPOSE AND ACTIVITY TO DISCOVER HOW I CAN TEACH THEM AND CATCH THEIR ATTENTION, SO THAT I CAN USE THAT TECHNIQUE IN A FUTURE TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL CLASS AND OF COURSE THAT WILL HELP US SO MUCH TO DO A BETTER LESSON PLAN TO ACHIEVE THE GOALS WE SET WHEN TEACHING.

ON THE OTHER HAND EVALUATION IS THE CULMINATION OF THE ACTIVITIES,HOMEWORKS AND ALL THE TASKS OUR STUDENTS DO INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE CLASS TO AWARD THEM AND TELL THEM HOW WELL THEIR ARE DOING IT AND OF COURSE WITHOUT MAKING THEM FEEL EMBARRASED AND SHY, BECAUSE THAT IS NOT THE POINT WE ARE ALL IN THE CLASSROOM TO LEARN EVERY SINGLE DAY THAT´S WHAT I ALWAYS TELL MY STUDENTS.WHEN THEY SEE GOOD MARKS,SEALS OR GOOD COMMENTS THEY DEFINITELY FEEL PROUD AND MOTIVATED TO LEARN THAT´S WHY IS IMPORTANT EVALUATION TO SEE THE PERFORMANCE OF THEM.

As a teacher, in this case as a English teacher something very important is to know our students what are their strenght and weaknesses, how they are, what are their needs and interest, the age of the students, how they learn ect.
All this information will be useful for us in order to prepare a better lesson planning, what strategies we are going to implement, what kind of material we are going to use, etc. This imformation helps the teacher to improve many things and the students will have a better learning.
Gather information of our students its continuous, thought the year. Smile

First of all, we as an English teacher have to be present that being in contact with the students is a magnificent opportunity, because we have the opportunity to check their weaknesses and strengths and according to that we get the necessary information and plan every single lesson and be sure the learning will be acquired and of curse the goals will be reach.
I think it is important for the results of the assessment and evaluation pay attention in all the students’ characteristics to gather enough information for the progress of the learning.
So I agree whit may classmates when they say that we have to identify the needs of our students and beside of this make the possible to create a good atmosphere, I am sure the this is one of the principals points into a class.

In order to make assessment for learning the student’s strengths and weaknesses and, of course our owns, because if they are constantly not responding to the information we’re giving them, we need to seek for other methods of presenting them the information. That’s why we need to focus on their responses to the information they are acquiring, on how it is stored in their memories, how they use the previous knowledge they had, as well as the one that was given to them on previous classes. Also we should asses their progress throughout the entire year and the way they adapt to new information. Is of great importance –I think, to make group as well as individual asses; and, of course, make modifications to the way of presenting data to the students, on order to see changes coming from the assessment. Their responses to different activities for example drills and their adaptation to a gradual increase in the difficulty of this ones is prior for achieve good skills.

[justify[i]]It is so important to know the differences and the purpose of assesment and evaluation cause as a teacher I can manage well each one.
first it all when I gathered all the information of my students I can take decisions depending of the information I got
from the previous assesment.
I can see their weakness and strengths of my Ss. and work with the appropriate activities to help them to improve them
These are good tools that can be helpful to encourage our students to know their own progress and motivate them to improve their weakness or strengths areas.
Now that I know the use of them I have to put them in practice and give them the correct use and its purpose .Its purpose.

First of all at the beginning of a course, I might give them a test to find out what they know and don know.
The information from the assessment helps me decide what to teach and which learners need help in which areas of language and which are their specific strengths and weaknesses and make a diagnosis, taking in count ss. knowledge, skills, needs, interests and attitudes; using feedback and envolving them in a comfortable and nice environment, taking in count learning styles and methology appropriate to them, encourage them in any area of the learning process development in order to achieved success through ss. own efforts.

Well, at the beginning of a course we have to gather information about each student: their feelings, doubts, needs, etc. It means, personal information in order to know the different kinds of students and the environment in and out the classroom and rapport.
After that, we need to make a diagnostic evaluation in order to recognize what the students know about the English language (skills, knowledge) and work with their weaknesses and strengths focusing our job in the same way for all the students, but using the information gathered to develop our classes better.
During the course, we can observe the students' achievements and gather new information, for example: their skills' development; how they use them to communicate; the best way the students use to communicate; how they express their feelings, etc. And with this new information we can evaluate the students in different forms and ways (exams, repports, tasks, exercises, etc.)
If we notice that the aims or goals are completed and the achievement is significant, let's continue in the same way, but if not, we must to revise our planning, attitude, exercises, methods or techniques in order to change how we are teaching, because is very important to recognize that to involve the students into the knowledge of a new language must be in a good relationship (rapport) and environment (context).
