WE ALL KNOW THAT KIDS ARE STARTING DEVELOPING MANY SKILLS IN THEIR LIVES AS THEY ARE VERY YOUNG THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT GRAMMAR RULES AND STRUCTURES AND THEY JUST GIVE MESSAGE THROUGH SHORT SENTENCES AND OF COURSE THERE MIGHT BE SOME VOCABULARY WHICH THEY DO NOT USE OR KNOW. HOWEVER THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO USE ENGLISH IN REAL SITUACIONS AND IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THEY ARE SIMPLE,SHORT OR LONG, THE IDEA IS TU USE ENGLISG.

I WOULD ASSES AND EVALUATE WITH THE FOLLOWING POINTS.

LANGUAGE FORM.

1. SS CAN INTERACT
2. INTERCHANGE POINTS OF VIEW BY ASKING AND ANSWERING
3. SS CAN USE THE VOCABULARY THEY KNOW IN ANY TOPIC
IN THIS CASE I WOULD LISTEN TO THEM AND SOMETIMES TAKE PART AND SEE HOW LONG THEY CAN SPEAK AND INTERACT WITH THE OTHERS.I WOULD HELP THEM JUST IN CASE.

CONTENT.
1. CONVEY THE MEANING
2. CORRECT USE OF ENGLISH AND PRONUNCIATION
3. GOO TUNE OF VOICE CLEAR AND PRECISE

I WOULD PROVIDE THE VOCABULARY IF NEEDED AND LET THEM GO WITH THEIR CONVERSATION AND I WOULD ALSO OBSERVE THEI FLUENCY,PRONUNCIATION, HOW WELL THEY KEEP UP A CONVERSATION.

OF COURSE AS WE HAVE SEEN AND TALKED IN THE CLASSROOM THE MOST APPROPIATE WAY TO CORRECT IN TO CALL ONE BY ONE AND TELL THEM HOW WELL THEY ARE DOING IT AND PRAISE THEM , AND AT THE END WE MUST SAY "WORK IN THAT" OR "YOU HAVE TO FOCUS ON THAT" AND SO ON IN ORDER TO AVOID MAKING THEM FEEL SHY AND EMBARRASED.

no matter how ss produce language the main point is that they try, then they will polish correcting their mistakes and reforce their knowledge with experiences, feelings and new ideas they will produce English properly.

Content of the message
1.- Writing legibly
2.- Punctuating correctly
3.- Using [/list][/list]a good distribution

Language form
1.- Using a good grammar
2.- Using conjunctions correctly
3.- Choosing the right vocabulary

As the teacher said in the classroom, it’s very important to know how to assess both “The form of the language” and “The content” when children are learning because each one has a very important role and should be treated carefully.
I would use these criteria to assess my students.

LANGUAGE FORM
1. Students can correct their mistakes by themselves
2. Students are able to pronounce each new word correctly
3.Students can express their ideas without grammar mistakes
CONTENT OF THE MESSAGE
1. Students can express feelings, thoughts, and needs without hesitating
2. Students understand simple stories by reading or listening
3. Students can share personal experiences with classmates

well in my opinion the way to assess is.
LANGUAGE FORM
1.can correct themselfs and their partners when they are speaking.
2.can answer exercises in the book.
3.identify the grammar rules.

1.can tell opinions about a topic
2.participate in all classroom activities.
3.use the knowledge in real life.

2. Is the student respecting the manner in which questions are made on English language?
3. The student can connect What has been learned in previous lessons with the knowledge acquired in the most recent ones.

1. The student strives for use recently learned vocabulary.
2. The student can transfer his/her thoughts into written material.
3. Can the student make accurate descriptions of pictures movies or texts?

When teaching English to kids we need to think like we are the parents who are teaching our own kids to speak for the first time, like in the mother's tongue. This is how we can Assess their Language Form & Content of the message as English teachers.

Assessing students is very important in the process of teching-learning. It is hard to know if our students are learning the second language in a correct way.
So, I think it is very important to focus on both, assessing the Language form and the Content of the language.
